This is a source approved by the Daughters of the American Revolution.By AdalynnI recently joined the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and have been looking for other Patriots in my family tree. The Historical Register of Virginians in the Revolution by John H. Gwathmey is a source that the DAR will accept. I purchased both volumes and have found them very useful when looking up data or attempting to establish a new Patriot. This set of books have paid for themselves in time and gas to run to the genealogical library.3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Genealogical Resource about Revolutionary VirginiaBy GordonA comprehensive listing of the settlers and their relationships in Virginia in the time around the Revolutionary War. Very useful for people researching ancestors to establish their qualification for lineage societies; such as the Daughters of the American Revolution or the Jamestown Society.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. The author/compiler has done such a great service for everyone interested in preserving their family history and its part in the great American Revolution.
